Police received a call around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday that a body was floating in a pond off of Delta Lake Drive. It runs near the Pleasant Valley Lanes bowling alley, off Glenwood Avenue.
"This is very shocking. I've been here two and a half years and I've never had a problem like this. It's been relatively quiet," said Bill Moore, of Pleasant Valley Lanes.
The Raleigh Fire Department Rescue Squad retrieved the body, but will not release any information other than that it seems as if it has been there a few days. It was sent to the medical examiner's office in Chapel Hill for an autopsy.
Police are trying to determine if foul play was involved in the man's death. Police also plan to check his ID against missing persons cases.
