State Lawmaker Wants Casino Nights Legalized For Non-Profit Groups

RALEIGH, N.C. — A state lawmaker says it is time to have a uniform policy when it comes to casino nights.

Rep. Bill Owens wants to allow non-profit organizations to hold casino nights.

Current North Carolina law states that it is technically illegal to hold these types of fundraisers, even though the law is not always enforced.
