Wilson Authorities Seek Murder Suspect

WILSON, N.C. — Wilson police are searching for a gunman behind a deadly overnight shooting.

Authorities responded to a shooting call around 1:30 a.m. near Canal and Toisnot streets. When they arrived, they found 39-year-old Jennifer McIntyre Murray shot to death.

Investigators are looking for her husband, 39-year-old Tony Davis Murray Sr. A warrant for murder has been issued and he is being sought for questioning.

Authorities said the couple recently separated and there had been a history of domestic violence. Jennifer Murray had been staying with one of her children while she and her husband were separated.

Davis was last seen driving a green 1997 Buick Skylark with North Carolina plate MRC-1542. Officers located the car in the Greenbriar Mobile Home Park in Wilson. The suspect has yet to be located.
