More Police On Hand For Chapel Hill Street Festival

Posted Updated

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Sunday's Apple Chill Street Fair in Chapel Hill is the center of controversy again.

Police have heard that rival gangs may plan a fight at the festival, which attracts thousands of people to Franklin Street each year.

Town officials plan to bring in 25 more police officers to make sure there is no trouble.

The Apple Chill Street Fair has been nearly canceled in previous years because so many residents complained about traffic.
