I-95 Ramp To I-40 Reopens In Johnston County

RALEIGH, N.C. — The ramp from northbound Interstate 95 to westbound I-40 (mile marker 81) in Johnston County was closed for several hours on Tuesday after tractor-trailer carrying hogs overturned and blocked the road.

The ramp was closed from around 1:30 p.m. until about 4:45 p.m. while hogs were transferred to another vehicle and the scene was cleared.

Motorists traveling I-95 North to I-40 West were directed onto I-40 East. Northbound I-95 motorists desiring to go westbound on I-40 were directed to follow I-40 East to Exit 334 (N.C. 96) and back onto I-40 West.
