BENSON, N.C. — A building supervisor at a local rest home is in trouble with police.
Investigators said Melvin Meeks took powerful narcotics prescribed to patients at the Oasis Rest Home in Benson.
Police said the medicines belonged to patients who no longer lived at the facility.
It did not appear that medications for current patients were stolen, police said.
