Door Peeled Off Raleigh Police Car After Vehicle Hit Cruiser

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh police car is headed to the repair shop after it was hit by another vehicle early Friday morning.

About 3 a.m. Friday, a vehicle clipped the door of the cruiser on Lynn Road near Glenwood Avenue.

The collision peeled the driver-side door all the way back.

Officers arrested the driver whose vehicle hit the cruiser. Michelle Romano, 26, of Raleigh was charged with DUI and hit and run.

The police officer was not injured.
