<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — A Tennessee-based bank has filed suit against Franklin County and Sheriff Jerry Jones.

Citizens Bank wants more than $100,000 it loaned to a nonprofit for a helicopter. The chopper crashed last spring while doing surveillance for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. A deputy was killed.

The bank claims Jones and others submitted fraudulent paperwork to secure the loan.

County leaders have not yet responded to the lawsuit.
