Grand Jury Indicts Durham Man For Drunken Driving Accident

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — A grand jury indicted Kenneth Maready on Monday on DWI, assault, larceny and habitual felon charges.

In February, investigators say Maready was drunk when he got behind the wheel of a stolen car and slammed into a pick-up truck, killing Kay Stokes.

Prosecutors believe his blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit at the time of the crash.
