Wake School Board Asking County For Extra $100 Million

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake County School leaders are pleading for more money.

The school system asked county commissioners for a $29 million boost to last year's funding.

Staffers say they actually need $100 million more over the next three years.

The money is used for operating costs.

Wake County Commissioners will hear the request in May.
