JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — A Johnston County Science teacher lost his appeal to get his job back after a now infamous milk experient.
Jeff Ferguson went before a judge last week fighting to return to Smithfield Selma High.
The school district let him go last year after he challenged his students to drink a gallon of milk in an hour. As a result of the experiment, some students got sick.
Ferguson said the principal was out to get him. However, the judge denied the appeal, saying the board had reason to fire a non-tenured teacher.
