Two Robeson Jail Escapees Recaptured

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. — Two escaped inmates are back in jail.

Guards at the Robeson County Correctional Facility realized Patrick Lowery and Kenneth Oxendine were missing at about 4 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities caught the two in Pembroke later in the afternoon.

Lowery was serving time for kidnapping. Oxendine was in jail for severe child abuse.

A third man in the case was also arrested.

He's charged with helping the men escape.
