CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Jury selection has started in the case of a Chatham County sheriff's deputy who claims he was unjustly fired.
Dan Phillips says he was let go because he alerted the FBI about thousands of pounds of stolen drugs.
Sheriff's authorities obtained the marijuana as evidence and buried it in the county landfill.
Three people were sentenced for stealing the drugs.
