Real Estate Agent Charged With Stealing Drugs From Homes

WHISPERING PINES, N.C. — A real estate agent from Apex is accused of stealing prescription drugs from homes he showed to clients.

Police in Whispering Pines arrested George Ellis IV.

The arrest followed a three-month investigation.

Police say Ellis stole drugs like Valium from homes.

Officers set up surveillance equipment to catch Ellis in the act.
