Train Fire Near Hillsborough Causes Delays In Service

ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — Some passenger trains serving North Carolina will be disrupted because of a fire Monday morning on a Norfolk Southern freight train near Hillsborough.

Orange County authorities say one of the train's three engines caught fire at 5:45 a.m.

Fire crews put out the flames just before 7 a.m. They believe it started with an electrical problem. The crew escaped safely.
