RALEIGH, N.C. — Icy areas caused a car to go out of control in Raleigh Monday.
The driver was on Atlantic Avenue around 8:15 a.m. Monday when she hit a slick spot. The next thing she knew, her vehicle was on its side.
Police say a water pipe burst down the street, allowing water to flow onto Atlantic Avenue that later froze.
The driver says three other drivers stopped to help her out.
The driver was a bit shaken, but was not injured.
