Wake Man Arrested After Allegedly Vandalizing Bus, Threatening Driver

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Wake County man accused of vandalizing a bus and threatening the driver is out of jail.

Police say Mark Deans became so enraged about his child not coming home from school on time that he threatened to kill a bus driver.

The incident happened during Wednesday's winter weather mess.

Police say Deans stopped a bus, demanded to see his kids, then kicked in the windows and threatened the driver's life.

No students were on the bus.

Deans has a criminal history, having served 15 years for second-degree murder.
