The body of Otis Glasco, 26, was found in a wooded area in Henderson.
Last week, Vance County deputies found Glasco's car riddled with bullets near Briggs Road outside Kitrell.
Investigators are treating his death as a murder and are looking into whether drugs were involved.
Nearly a week after Glasco's disappearance, a father and son pulled over on the side of the road after getting car-sick and discovered the body.
"I got out of the car and I noticed it and said 'That's a dead man over there lying face down'," said Chad Pruitt.
Pruitt's father also caught a glimpse of the discovery.
"I was already sick, that made me even sicker," said Wayne Pruitt. "I hate to see dead people, it was terrible, it really hurt."
