Grand Jury Indicts Man For Murder Of Duke Employee

DURHAM, N.C. — A grand jury indicted a man Tuesday on first-degree murder charges in the death of a Duke employee.

Thomas Pitt, 22, is charged with killing Curt Blackman last year. The Duke University recruiter was found dead inside his Forest Hills apartment.

Prosecutors say Blackman was gagged, tied up and stabbed repeatedly.

Pitt is in the Durham County jail without bond.
