Voters In Two Towns Say No Sale To Mixed Drinks

Posted Updated

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. — Two North Carolina towns have voted to prohibit the sale of mixed drinks within the city limits.

In Pembroke, the referendum failed 231 to 172.

The unofficial tally in Red Springs was 165 against and 144 for mixed drinks sales.

The referendums would have allowed the sale of mixed drinks in hotels, restaurants, private clubs and other businesses.
