RALEIGH, N.C. — A high-speed chase that started in Zebulon Thursday morning ended in Raleigh with three wrecked cars.
Authorities say Richard McLaughlin, 25, from Greer, S.C. stole a car from the Triangle East shopping center in Zebulon around 8:45 a.m.
He then led police from Zebulon and Raleigh and the North Carolina Highway Patrol on a chase.
The pursuit ended at the intersection of Millbrook and Creedmoor roads in Raleigh where the suspect hit another car, causing a state trooper to then collide with the stolen car.
There was minor damage to all the vehicles involved. No one was injured.
McLaughlin was taken to the Wake County Magistrate's Office for processing.
