FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 4-year-old boy is $1,000 richer. On Wednesday, Fayetteville police officers gave D'Angelo Jenkins reward money for finding their dog, Mira.

Mira went missing in November. Officers think someone let her out of her pen. They spent weeks looking for her until Jenkins saw the dog in his backyard.

Jenkins said he has big plans for his check. He plans to buy a Game Boy and a tape for it.

Mira has lost about a pound each day she was missing, but her handler said she is close to making a complete recovery.
