Police Make Arrest In Smithfield Murder

SMITHFIELD, N.C. — Police in Smithfield have made an arrest in the city's latest murder.

Raoul Demetrius Wiggins, 27, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Conrad Tinsley, 27.

Police said Tinsley was shot in the stomach while he was standing in the front yard of his Barbour Road home around 4 p.m. Monday.

Tinsley died at Johnston Memorial Hospital.

Wiggins is being held in the Johnston County Detention Center without bond.
