One Dead After Car Lands In Fayetteville Creek

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — One person is dead after an accident in Fayetteville Wednesday morning.
Police said Berkley Lamarr-Deon Garris, 28, was killed in the single-car collision that occurred on Shaw Road between Bragg Boulevard and Murchison Road at about 7:30 a.m.
Investigators said it appeared the vehicle ran off of the right side of the road and collided with a pole, causing the vehicle to flip upside down and land into the creek.
Garris was alone in the vehicle.
The cause of the accident is not yet known.
