Authorities Try To Identify Accident Victim In Cumberland County

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Highway patrol officers have yet to identify a pedestrian who was hit and killed overnight in Cumberland County.

Troopers say Jacklyn Honeycutt hit and dragged a woman with her mini-van on Maxwell Road just after midnight. The woman died at the scene.

Troopers say Honeycutt was not at fault and will not be charged.

They do not know who the victim is or why she was walking in the road.
