CREEDMOOR, N.C. — School officials in Granville County now know who is responsible for an apparent hit list.
A note was found on the floor at G.C. Hawley Middle School in Creedmoor on Monday. It included the first names of students and says they will die on Tuesday. In response, the school implemented a crisis program Tuesday, which included increased security.
A student at Hawley Middle School confessed to writing the threatening note.
School officials say the student wrote the list as a joke. The student faces suspension, possibly for the rest of the school year.
