Durham Police Identify Victim In Tuesday Homicide

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police have identified the victim of a homicide on West Maynard Avenue Tuesday.

Police say Dennis Wayne Rowe, 43, of 408 West Maynard Ave., was found dead inside his house.

Officers were called to Rowe's house at 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday to check a report of a body found inside the house. Investigators are not releasing the cause of death at this time, but the case has been classified as a homicide.

Investigators are trying to locate Rowe's vehicle - a light bluish gray 2003 Volkswagen Passat station wagon with North Carolina license LYT-1118.

Investigators have not released a motive and no charges have been filed.
