Shane Seek, 31, of Fayetteville, is charged with molesting a girl under the age of 13, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

Seek faces four counts of indecent liberties with a minor and 3 counts of first-degree statutory rape.

Deputies believe Seek took advantage of the girl between June and September.

Seek was convicted in Harnett County in June 2000 on charges of indecent liberties with a minor.  As a result of his conviction, he was sentenced to 2 years probation and was required to register as a sex offender.

Seek is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Facility under a $200,000 bond pending his first court appearance.
