CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A report of a robbery in downtown Chapel Hill ended with a crashed police cruiser Tuesday morning.
Police said the incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Franklin and North Columbia streets.
Police said the two cars collided while officers followed a car they suspected was used in an earlier attempted robbery.
No one was hurt.
Police said three of the suspects jumped and ran. Police arrested one suspect -- a 16-year-old male from Durham.
