RALEIGH, N.C. — A state prison employee faces charges for sexually molesting a 10-year-old girl.

Calvin Baskerville, 44, was arrested Wednesday.

According to state Department of Correction officials, Baskerville was a correctional officer in training. He was hired in June and resigned Wednesday.

Baskerville is being held on $1 million bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
