Power Problems Forces Early Dismissal For Wilson School

WILSON, N.C. — Power problems shut down Speight Middle School in Wilson County.

A power surge blew a fuse in the transformer on campus. The entire transformer failed once school started on Friday.

Students were released at 11 a.m.

Officials say the problems should be fixed and schools should be back in session on Monday.
