RALEIGH, N.C. — A controversial Wake County judge made a deal to lessen her own punishment.
Superior Court Judge Evelyn Hill agreed to take a censure from the state Judicial Standards Comission.
In exhange, the commission will drop three other complaints against Hill. Some of those include pretending to grab a Franklin County deputy's crotch and berating a female lawyer.
Recently, Hill was accused of making a derogatory comment to an African-American lawyer.
