Lumberton Officer Pleads Not Guilty To Planting Evidence

RALEIGH, N.C. — A veteran police officer pleaded not guilty after being accused of planting evidence and lying to the FBI.
Lt. Leon Oxendine was arrested at the Lumberton Police Department in April.
The charges stem from an investigation into a suspected drug dealer.
Oxendine's trial is taking place at the federal courthouse in Wilmington.
