RALEIGH, N.C. — A 17-year-old honors student charged with making pipe bombs is hitting the books.
Jarrett Brown is scheduled to return to court next week. In the meantime, he is taking general education classes at the Wake County Public Safety Center's Charter School.
Brown, who lives in Fuquay-Varina, is enrolled at Apex High School.
He does not have a criminal record, but he could be sentenced to prison time if he is convicted.
