ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Rocky Mount police say
counterfeit cash
is floating around.
Investigators say someone is using fake money to pay for items at fast food restaurants and convenience stores. Some of the cash even ended up in local banks.
Authorities say it has happened nearly 15 times in the past few weeks.
Police say the bogus bucks are easy to spot. Store clerks and shoppers should check their cash.
