<b>SANFORD, N.C.</b> — Investigators are sorting out the details involving a transformer explosion in Sanford.

The explosion happened sometime at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the Moening plant on Cox Mill Road.

Sanford authorities say a contractor was injured. He was taken to Central Carolina Community Hospital. There is no word on his condition.
