DURHAM, N.C. — The state attorney general is taking the builders of the moldy N.C. Central University dorms to court.
The $7 million lawsuit blames four of the five contractors for faulty construction which led to the growth of toxic mold. The fifth contractor made a deal with the state.
The two dorms were forced to close in 2003. Two contractors filed countersuits.
A state investigation found all five parties responsible for the mold.
