ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — An 11-month-old baby boy died after being left in a parked car Friday in Rocky Mount.

The baby, identified as Logan Molden, was pronounced dead on arrival at Nash General Hospital.

According to investigators, dispatch received a 911 call just before noon about a child left in a vehicle at an insurance office on North Church Street, where the child's mother worked.

Investigators believe the death was an accident. The baby's mother, Leslie Wood, said she forgot he was in the car.

The baby had been in the car about two hours before being taken to the hospital. Authorities said the temperature inside the car was about 10-15 degrees hotter than the outside temperature.
