Raleigh Murder Suspect Faces More Charges

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — One of two twin brothers accused of a murder in a credit union parking lot faces more charges.

Lamont Carter is in jail for the killing of Shaudria Barfield on July 3 on Falls of Neuse Road. Now, he's also charged with robbery and conspiracy.

According to court papers, Carter stole more than $100,000 from an ATM service worker in Greensboro on May 20. The documents say the service worker was in on the crime.

Raleigh police will not say if those charges are related to Barfield's murder.

Carter's twin, Larry Carter, is also charged with her murder.
