Officials Have Plan To Fix Johnston Schools' Budget Shortfall

Posted Updated

CLAYTON, N.C. — There may be a possible solution for Johnston County schools' $3 million budget shortfall.

Last year, it cost the school system $700,000 to allow organizations to use their facilities after hours.

School board members are now putting together a plan to charge for that service.

The plan should be ready for a vote sometime in August.
