FUQUAY-VARINA — A lawsuit filed by a Fuquay-Varina police officer accuses the town and its police department of discrimination.
The suit was filed July 2. It claims the department, town and employees of both discriminated against the officer in hiring, compensation and promotions.
The officer names at lease nine people in the lawsuit, including the town manager and chief of police.
