OXFORD, N.C. — A former Oxford police officer has formally been charged with stealing money from the evidence room.
The police department fired Warren Hicks when the money first disappeared. Monday's indictment also accuses him of stealing from the department's Special Olympics fund.
Hicks worked for the department for seven years.
