Raleigh Police Seek Second Suspect In Barfield Murder

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are attempting to locate 23-year-old Lamont Darrell Carter, who is charged with murder in connection with the death of Shaudria Dawn Barfield.

Barfield's body was found Saturday in her car in the parking lot of a credit union in Raleigh.

Lamont Carter is the twin brother of Larry Carter, who was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder in connection with the crime. Larry Carter remains in jail on that charge.

Lamont Carter -- who is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 215 pounds -- is believed to be at large in the Triangle area. He may be driving a black 1997 BMW 740i bearing N.C. registration SRF 5885.
