Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh City Council has passed a measure that will assess a fine of $100 upon anyone whose property contains a "nuisance motor vehicle."

The bill, recommended by the Neighborhood Preservation Task Force, would limit to three the number of vehicles that can be parked in a driveway. Any vehicle on the grass would be considered a nuisance vehicle.

The effective date for the ordinance would be Oct. 1, 2004.
