Education Board Approves Bullying Policy

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — The State Board of Education has voted to take a stand on bullies.

Thursday morning, board members unanimously approved a bullying policy for all school districts. The policy would require a representative from each system to be trained in an anti-harassment session.

Local school boards will need a way to enforce the policy. By January, they also need to start documenting and investigating bullying.
