WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff's Office said its deputies arrested one of Caldwell County's most wanted.

The Warrant Squad and Special Response Team of the sheriff's office arrested 40-year-old James Lee Wilkes Thursday in Fuquay-Varina. Wilkes was arrested without incident.

Wilkes was wanted by the Lenoir Police Department for three counts of being a habitual felon, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and being delinquent on his child support out of Caldwell and Catawba County.

The Lenoir Police Department asked for the sheriff's office's assistance after its investigation revealed that Wilkes could be living in Wake County.
