Wilson Teacher Resigns Despite Being Cleared Of Abuse Allegations

WILSON COUNTY, N.C. — A Wilson County teacher, who was cleared of child abuse allegations, will not return to the classroom.
Tamara Cooper taught autistic children at Vick Elementary school. She was accused of physically and verbally abusing them earlier this year.
Wilson County Schools stood by Cooper during both state and local investigations. No explanation was given for her resignation.
