Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — The state handed out almost $395,000 Monday to build pedestrian and bike paths.

Durham will receive more than $37,000. Rocky Mount is next at $36,000. Wake Forest is expected to get $24,500.

The huge new Raleigh greenway, which includes a

, was not available for the grants because the state is already picking up part of the tab.
