RALEIGH, N.C. — Crews were called out to a fire at a townhome under construction in north Raleigh early Monday.
The fire broke out at the Ashton Hall townhomes just after 4 a.m. Investigators say the flames gutted one unit under construction at 228 Ashton Hall Lane before spreading to another unit.
A couple living in the second unit had to leave, but no one was injured.
So far, there is no word on a cause.
