Teen Found Guilty In Fatal Wreck, Will Not Serve Jail Time

SMITHFIELD, N.C. — A teenager will not serve jail time for a car crash last year that killed her friend.

Kristen Gazlay, 16, was found guilty of death by motor vehicle Tuesday.She received a prayer for judgement and must pay court costs.

Gazlay lost control of her pick-up and crashed on Juniper Church Road near Four Oaks. Susan Gilreath, 15, died.

The girls were sophomores at South Johnston High School.
